for those of you who are getting reduced gas mileage, you probably didnt reset you car's adaptations to the previous setup with a muffler.

try this:

1. disconnect battery
2. leave overnight disconnected
3. wake up in the morning and re-connect the battery
4. turn on car
5. start driving right after you turn it on
6. after the eingine is warm (~5 min driving), then start to rev it higher and drive the crap out of the engine for a few minutes (~5min)
7. then, do whatever you want. you can keep driving if you want to, or go home

this process resets your car's computer's adaptations to the previous setup and allows it to adapt to the new setup.

im not sure what effects disconnecting the battery has on a car with i-drive, so if your car has i-drive do it at your own risk!

but on cars without i-drive, once you re-connect the battery, you have to reset the date and time in the car.
