If you don't care about resale...why not? Obviously as long as the reason it was total wasn't too crazy!

Back in my fast and furious days
i had a thing for the Eclipse GS-T's but i only had money to buy RS models, So i took a gamble and bought a used 98 GS-T blk/blk. my dream car at the time, but it had a rebuilt tittle. I actually had a mechanic look at it and he game me the okay to buy. Car ran great..... when it wasnt at the mechanic shop, which was half the time, I had all type of issues from craked frame, AC, bent valves, you name it. all in all about 12K in repair bills in the four years that i had it. i was just lucky that i took a 3rd party insurance on it and they covered all the repairs.
So moral of the story, I wont ever reach and buy a rebuilt again, even for a "steal". you never know what actually is going on with that car history.
