They can easily pull the codes and see if there was any malfunction on the car....... One thing that people tent to over look is the fact that loaner car and retal cars (if you don't get their insurance) are YOUR liability.
Not to be against your friend's parents or anything but, it does take a special talent to spin of a car off..... Do they have no clue how to drive in rain???? It is not like they live in Seattle or anything....
Good luck fighting the dealership... They did loan a perfectly fine car and got it returned it in not so perfectly condition... Your friends or his/ her parents are liable....
I have nothing but great things to say about BMW Seattle......
