Clocks spring is pulled off using three tabs. Two on clock spring and one on wiper stalk etc hub. The two arrows on the hub where the optical steering position sensor must remain together when you put the clock spring on it.
Goes without saying you must have the steering in center before working on all this.

The power to that wire is connected using pin 7,9,10, and 12 as seen in pic.
Even without 12 pin plug, you can plug 6 pin to the first row of pins, the push release should face the second row of pins
Removal and replacement of clock spring will need to recalibrate 4x4 DSC etc codes. There are tools on Amazon made for BMW under $100
