I do not know if this thread will shed light on Humanitarian Day but at least it will bring attention to the few. Tomorrow, August 19th 2012 is "Humanitarian Day" a day where each human will lend a helping hand, despite of one's social class or economic status. A day that we will each make a difference in both a small and big way to our fellow neighbor. As a graduate student who minored in "Humanities", tomorrow will be a very important day to both myself and those who have devoted their lives in helping others. It is easy to get lost in our materialistic world filled with expensive cars, suites at the Four seasons, First class on Singapore Airlines, the 5 bedroom house with a 3 car garage and a closet filled with brand name clothing. Lets not forget that we have the power to put a shirt on the back of a child in Africa and feed those who are starving in southeast Asia.
