I like what I've seen of Binotto, and he is supposedly a brilliant engineer. With that said, this seems like a reasonable move that has been long enough coming.
For Charles's and Sainz's sake, I hope Vasseur reassigns the strategy lead (Rueda?)... and brings in someone who's a hammer... or as much of one as the team will tolerate (work culture is different in Italy). I'll never hope for someone to get fired for my entertainment. so - I hope he finds a good fit.
Maybe Binotto can focus on engine/chassis tweaks at home in Marenello. ??
