OP here, i do have a clutch stop and it's a bit easier to drive. i'll do the CDV and brake flush to see how things pan out.

i've been driving manual for 2 years, this 335i for the last year. before i had an e36 m3 manual, the clutch seemed easier to work with, my 335i has too much chatter when engaging from a stop.

what's weird is that i read a lot about people having the jerky 1-2 shift but for me, i've seem to gotten that down. it's just the N-1 clutch engagement that bothers me.

the clutch stop that i have (the ebay one) has a soft bumper, so when i push the clutch pedal i feel the sponginess. then when i let the clutch pedal up a bit, there's some very slight squeakiness from down there.

i'll report back after i get the services done, hopefully it'll fix things.
