I am not sure, I'm on my Euro-trip! just got back from the mountains and don't really remember but if that's what you found out I would just stick to that, you can also read through this threat because I think I mentioned that on here before... as for sealing the lights just use a large amount of sealant... at least that's what I did... and had no leaks.
when opening use heat but be careful when bending the black part of the light housing so it doesn't snap. When you paint it let it dry for a day at least before you start putting them together because you may scratch the paint off easily if you start messing with it before it's completely dry...
