I've owned a Jeep Cherokee, Toyota Camry, and Ford Mustang, and my BMW gets warm faster than any of them ever did, by far. I remember the mustang wouldn't start getting warm until I was almost at work. The BMW blows warm within a couple of minutes and its almost burning hot within 5 minutes. Of course, I live in Texas so 30 degrees is bitter cold to me, so take that as you will hahaha
