Damn, so no way to get the USB method working, any way to apply the firmware update?

I've got an INPA- OBD cable that I used for coding years ago, will that do? A link to instructions would be much appreciated!

EDIT: Done a little more reading, while under warranty my cic may actually have been updated as I complained about a bug. Is there a way to check what firmware/ what's required? I've also previously updated my maps via usb using a paid fsc website.
