Why do we use such low weight oils? I know, I know, LL01 approved, whatever. But I've been thinking, back when I had my Porsche 944 turbo, I was using Mobil 1 15w-50. And all my friends with turbo cars or cars that normally ran very high oil temps all used similar weight oils. Since the N54's normal operating temp is around 240, shouldn't we also be using heavier oils?
