The iPhone snap-in adapter/cradle allows iPod Out. iPod Out is analog video output. Analog video output has been removed from the iPhone 5.
Therefore, new iPhone 5 snap-in adapter/cradle will have the video DAC built-in. That's where most of the release delay resides.
