I've vowed never to give UPS another penny based on previous experiences, and I still somehow accidentally selected them to ship my recent ECS order. So I agree ECS could make things more transparent, or better yet just stop offering UPS as an option on intl orders as it only leads to negative experiences. Lose/Lose. Except UPS. They make sure they always win.
Order, including shipping: ~$700 CDN
Duty & tax: $50
UPS's completely made up, arbitrary, BS fees: $135. That's on top of the cost of shipping I've already paid them.
$135 so they can hand a form to Customs instead of me. It's insane. Except apparently to E90Menace, who proudly pays these made-up fees because they think an entry-level BMW is *luxury*. LMAO
Anyway, I flipped the bird to the UPS thieves and cleared it myself, saved around $100. And I'll be even more careful to never use UPS again. No other carriers pull this crap, in my experience.
