Yes, MHD may be my next stop. But, MHD = $199 for the flasher module + $49 for a map pack = $250. PPK DIY = $14.35 for the OBDII/USB cable + my time. With results unknown in advance, you can see the logic in trying the less costly option first.

Furthermore, I have an extended warranty on the car. Plus, it's not entirely clear to me what MHD Stage 1 will do for the sound. Yes, looks like it allows one to go completely bananas with the burble, but what about the engine note while revving UP? I just want to be able to hear the engine... Would I actually need to go catless for my 135 to finally sound at least as good as my co-worker's stock BRZ that can barely get out of its own way?
