I think you're missing the point. A few of the Nissan VQ variants (G35/350z) are known for being relatively quiet, while still having a nice burbly rumble to them in stock form. Those cars (350z/G35) sound very good, I wouldn't mind my 335 sounding like a 350z with a fujitsubo exhaust.
