I feel your pain, as far as I was concerned the engine was assembled in Germany. Letting a dealer with little or no experience doing such a big job sucks.
Try and get a recommendation from someone on here, I see everyone chiming in to help. I did not feel confident with my dealer doing it even if BMW had finally approved it.
