Apart from being a top 2 market, they are an innovation hub despite thier dubious reputation for IP plagiarism. As an economy they are leapfrogging the ice engine era to get a good spot in the new electric or clean mobility segement.
BMW would be foolish if it did not position itself to capitalise on these realities.
As far as I am concerned, if it means they can make money and secure a future as result, then good for them and more of chance that they can indulge in producing the cars that we like.

Agree. Western companies have no problems with towing the line for a country whose govt murdered approx 2 million of it's own citizens and arguably has the largest domestic survelliance (sp) apparatus in human history.
