Single midiocer tech most definitely will not be able to get the alignment spot on. The tech will set the camber and work on the toe which will alter the camber and vise versa. Same with side to side. Tech will set let say right side first and move to the left which will affect the right side. Tech really needs to know what they are doing and have both experience and talent. That is why when I do alignments, and I do on average one per month for customers vehicles at a Firestone I request two techs which I work with on the alignment rack. They work as I look at the screen with the numbers. When I see the numbers that I like/want/need I tell them to fasten the eccentric bolts. I do this so I will not have returning customers with complains since we outsource the alignment.
