So I went back out to drive the car to make sure I knew how to exactly describe the conditions to make this post. Well, it didn't misfire once... Drove it around for 15min or so in the neighborhood to make sure it was all up to temp and whatnot. Tried all RPMs, different accelerations, and nothing. 
Car is at just over 135k miles. I've had the car since 88k. Only thing that's been changed is the spark plugs and that was around 8k miles ago.
I do have a valve cover leak. I was trying to clean everything up and be really careful about getting anything on the plugs while installing them, but there is a chance something could have gotten on them and fouled out. That's one thing I saw while researching that could have happened.
Any help on what to look at would be great. Thanks in advance!  |
Im having the same problem. Bought the car with 107k miles. 1 month later after purchase there was an oil leak and coolant leak. Took it to the shop turned out to be the vcg and broken expansion tank with a corroded upper radiator hose.$1300 for labor and parts. Right after i got all those replaced i was driving and the check engine light came on and went to limp mode. But no ses light. When the check engine light comes on i just pull over turn off the car for about 5 min and then it drives fine. Does it like 1 a week so. Tell me if you find your problem
