Reviving an old thread because there are so much good information regarding x-pipe, resonators and secondary cats.
Can anyone confirm if the secondary cats compared to resonators do more to 1) dampen the noise and 2) eliminate more rasp/drone?
I am thinking of putting in a 2.5" x-pipe in place of the OEM h-pipe resonator.
I would like to keep the rasp and noise down, so would doing x-pipe only be a good idea?
If secondary cats dampen more noise and block more rasp, doesn't make sense to eliminate them for resonators. Hope someone can explain.
