I wish that was the case, but for some reason my parents don't want me to get a manual. "It is a distraction"- my dads words, I responded with- "I have to be paying attention to the road and RPM's if I'm driving a manual or i won't know when to shift." Its actually less distracting. You pay more attention to the car and the road. In an automatic my mind wanders off because there is less for me to do. Almost got into an accident for that reason. And its actually easier to race in an automatic its just that you have to pay more once the transmission starts breaking from the abuse. Don't say you wont race or drive fast because every guy does.
