The STI, with Cobb, has a feature that when you clutch to shift, you don't lift off the gas - and it keeps revs under control during the time you are clutched in. That way you can easily preserve the optimal rpms -> preserve boost on shifts.

wow... thats pretty amazing. i didnt know such a function even exists.... i still dont think you need something like that to keep the revs up though. just release the gas a touch when shifting and back on the throttle right as the clutch engages and youre good to go.
