No-one has mentioned going out to find the 330xi intake, which is a pretty easy 20 hp gain (you need the 330 tune/dme). However, not much else is going to gain more hp in that engine, which is in a very high state of tune (even the 328i is pretty high...)

The xDrive adds weight (150-180 lbs) so that detracts from it being a track car against RWD models. Easier to drive since you can floor it right after entering a corner, however.

If you're looking for winter driving, the xDrive is killer, especially with winter tires. However, FWD/RWD is pretty good if you buy winter tires. For instance, I've got winter tires on my RWD 335d, and my wife has all-seasons on her 328xd, and except for going up hills, mine rules. I can brake and turn and she can't do that as well as I can.
