In retrospect I realise how redundant and relative to personal preference my title question sounds.. I guess what I wanted to know was the margins to alter the e92's offset without altering the geometry or behaviour of the car in any significant way.. Unless it be a certain improvement. So it was more about what's good for the car than what peoples aesthetic preferences were. My fault for not explaining myself better, just I'm buying my first aftermarket wheels and was getting a bit baffled.

After more research I'm worried the 27 would cause rubbing on an e92 and will probably go for 19x8.5 et35 fronts and 19x9.5 et35 rears. Must sound really tame compared to what a lot of you guys are using!
