Assuming they're polyurethane, it'd be pretty easy to sand them down, paint them, and clear coat them yourself. I know you said you love carbon fiber but just giving you another option!
As far as wrapping, there are some good wraps, do your research on different ones. Most companies will send out small samples to you for a few bucks so IMO thats not a bad idea to see the texture and finish. I used 3M 1080 series, but that was for my interior and wasn't carbon fiber, but I was pleased with the product.
