This is perfectly viable I dont know why people are trying to give you shit
- vent mounts suck because in the wintertime it will over heat your phone. Usually you will want the phone on a primary vent closest to you which blocks airflow.
- people don't want to stick things to their dash and leave behind adhesive for a dash mount
- people hook up android tablets to the cupholder all the time, how is this any different
