Whoops, didn't see this. There is no power draw when the car is off since that 12v port only has power with ignition on. The camera is also set to turn on/off with the ignition, so when you start the car it automatically starts loop recording.
This is great because you can just set it up and forget it. I ran the wires down the a-pillar, under the glove box panel, then tucked it under the center console. It was a perfect fit, I probably had 2" extra cable. I'll try and take pics once I'm home.
I have a Chinese no-name camera in the 325, and I definitely wouldn't buy it again. It has issues sometimes, the cable was like 30 feet too long, and it often flickers on by itself when the car is off from stored battery power in the camera. The APEMAN I have in the 328 and Jeep is worlds better for the same price. |
