It's a great car don't get me wrong, it has a big engine and a 6MT what is not to like If I had Jay Leno's garage I'd have one, but to drive all the time it's a bit much. I'm happy if I can use 90% of a N52s power in any way someone might take pride in. This new thing, it's the manumatic tranny where they lose me, it just pains me to think all that power and I don't get to be the one to apply it. Like watching some1 else light fireworks.
E39 M5 was the fastest sedan in the world for a time. Was it the last sedan sold in the US with ONLY a 3-pedal option? I believe so.

Now the M5 is the new-money rich man's Accord and not much more. A daily for the people who feel (or want to give the impression that) they wouldn't notice the difference between 20k and 120k.
