Did you buy this car brand new? I would keep it because the E90 is a great car, you will not find another one just like it.

If you owned this car since new or purchased at a very low mileage (CPO) I would 100% keep it. Even if it costs $2,000 to repair or replace the transmission which would technically "total" the car since the resale value is only about $3,000 I would do it anyway. As long as the car doesn't have other major issues and the transmission is the only problem, I'd say $2,000 is still money well spent. Because, what used car can you buy with $2,000 that will give you the same driving pleasure and memories that this E90 325i will? None!

Also don't even think about getting an F30, they drive like shit. I have 2011 328i, my gf has 2013 (F30) 328i and its terrible. I hate it. Not to mention, if you get a new or cpo F30 you will most likely have car payments again.

Best of luck!
