...except you have to run wiring for everything back under the sills, through the doors, find a suitable place to mount the tweeters without damaging the door panels, hide the amp, etc. It's do-able, but really not desired on a leased car. My goal is to get the dealership to take care of the Alpine system; if not, then I'll look into adding my own components but it doesn't sound easy.

On the other hand, this base audio system should make for a nice platform to start if you have aftermarket components in mind. This sounds like it's easier to work with than the previous Hi-Fi cars.
