I was living in Korea during the last World Cup.. Ooooh pilsung Korea (not sure if I got the spelling right, but hopefully you know what I mean) and 'Be the Reds' (I still have one of those t-shirts somewhere). Those weeks were absolutely fantastic and I can't wait for the 2006 World Cup in 6 months time!
I have no money on who will win, although of course Germany has the advantage of being on home ground. Let's hope France manages to score at least
one goal this time around (no offense to any of our French members). That said, I really hope Australia does well (30-some years since their last appearance). I've already booked tickets for the Australia-Croatia match here in Stuttgart and having lived in Aus for a while, I really want them to do well (although they're in a pretty tough group with Japan and Brazil).
And I know this is a bit cliché, but may the best team win.
