You put winter tires on the car. The tread compound is different, thus a different steering response. The tire construction is also different. As previously stated, make sure the pressures are to spec. Some tire shops leave the pressure high (for initial bead setting) and don't drop the pressure before returning the car to the customer. Also, consult the owners manual, tire pressures for winter tires is usually different than for summer tires.
