I just installed a sunglass holder in my new E90, and it was a piece of cake. It took about 30 minutes, and I was being extremely careful. No scratches, cracks, or gouges. And now my useless ashtray is a cool, integrated, hidden storage spot for sunglasses or whatever else I wish to stash away.
It was $22 from Tischer BMW in Maryland. And it was well worth the $ and the effort.
