Try launching in 2nd, i always thought 1st as well but it depends on your mods.
I have dci, mhd custom hitting 19psi, and dps with about e45 stock pump
My fastest ever in a 1st gear launch was 12.598 @110
I tried 2nd once for my last run right before the track closed and got 12.52 @112

I've launched my xi on a deserted street deep deep in Mexico and it did just fine back then.. pulled off the spot hard but if it's gonna substantially hurt the drive train then idk
