I figure if I drive around with tools I might never have to use them, instead of needing them but not having any.
Sort of like buying a snow blower before winter and it never snows...
I've owned my Jeep longer than either of my BMWs, and over the 9 years I've owned it have always had tools and a first aid kit in it. I've never needed to use them for myself thankfully, but have used them numerous times to help out other people.
