So, I got an estimate from the dealer for all the parts for my 2006 330XI.

The part number for the TCU is:

84-10-9-181-230 (old number 84-10-9-171-590)

Does anybody know if I can use any other numbers for this? Trying to find a used TCU on eBay, would make this install MUCH cheaper. Dealer wants about $800 for a reman TCU.

I am also located in Canada, so I assume I want a GSM TCU, and not a CDMA TCU?
