ended up paying $659 excl. GST for tensioner assy, drive belt and idler bearing replaced. Mechanic refused to take cash no gst coz of warranty on parts, so was $724.90 out of pocket. I also got a service done, car purs now, but i've been told that $724 is a hefty bill to pay for an easy repair.
