Exactly. Or you can play around by yourself and find your personal best cal. For that, the general license is enough.
No cal will compromise daily driving in D mode. Sport and Race are fully useable for daily commute in D. It's just that there is a bigger gap between D and S/M mode in the Sport and Race cal.
