Active means separate channels for each speaker even the tweeters.
Who invented this semi active term I seem to see now.
Diamond Speakers was the first I saw using it.
If you say the underseats are on a seperate channel well OK
but it kind of muddys the waters

Ok. My mistake. It does sound like I need to get them if I want to run BMW IA door mids, which I do. I'll probably need to get at least a four channel amp too, is my guess. The MS 8 doesn't have a whole lot of power. I would be happy with 60-75watts a channel. It's a small car; probably 50watts a Channel would work to be honest.
