I took delivery of my 08 335i touring with 24k miles 2 weeks ago and the HPFP flagged a fault on the way home :-(
It was then in the dealers for several days while they updated the software (which requried replacement of the siren unit to complete!!!). They said although the original fault was flagged as HPFP this should fix it...
Got car back and fault appeared after 15 miles driving.
Took it back and told them to change the pump which they have done now and all is fine again :-))
