Would be worth asking them if it needs a DME software update for the HPFP.
They possibly havent done it, and seem to just wait until you drop in for service.
Its worth doing, given how it operates.
It ought to prevent the failures.
Some obviuos misunderstanding though from the BMW tech boys.
They seem to read a document that tells them the patch will fix starting / hpfp issues.
Of course it wont, its clearly a preventative measure and not a fix.
A busted HPFP is just that, it cant be frigged.
