I think you are mixing AskTheCarExperts youtube channel with Eric The car guy. Eric the Car Guy usually has videos on work on Honda/acura, haven't seen him any BMW videos.
On 328 you don't need the torx to remove the engine cover. They are allen as far as I can remember.
