DAB radio station name could be related to the CIC. There is a setting to turn it on or off so check that. To get that firmware updated, you need an ICOM fiber interface. Or just pay your dealer to do it. The dealer can read your key and view what firmware your car has for no cost.
Combox update is mostly for bluetooth connectivity. I am not sure if it affects song titles. Do any apps display song titles? Since the cable is cheap, it is low risk. Try plugging in a USB and see if you can run the update. It is odd that it only shows telephone and not multimedia.
