As for searching, my build date was in September '06 and I had no search until I got 29.2. I am sure of it, because it drove me absolutely bonkers that there was not at least a simple search in the old version. Maybe that came out earlier than 29.2, but if you DON'T have it, then you know for sure you have a really old version.

Just checked and I most certainly have the "Search" feature in the Nav setting. My BMW SA just called and wants me to take the car in.
