They are Tule elk. I was out at the Tule elk reserve at Tomales Point in the Golden Gate National Rec area after work yesterday, and snapped a bunch. I missed the rut this year, but it was still cool to see the herd against the backdrop of the ocean. It's a pretty spectacular sight.
