You need both the dongle and the app to use Carly. I picked up the dongle from this forums classified for a really good price then the app was around £35. I'm using with iOS so can't comment on the Android app, however I haven't had any problems. There’s plenty of guides / info online and the apps regularly updated too. From what've read, the OEM programming software has more functionality, however Carly has a much simpler user interface. Considering what I’m using it for, Carly was the obvious choice for me.
As for the remap, no worries I’ll post over a video/dyno graph once I’ve had it done. I'm going to go with
p-torque, should see around 300bph and 500 ft/lb of torque.
