People who uses wax, usually use sealant.
Wax is an extra layer to bring out the gloss and protect the paint, only reason people uses sealant because wax get thinner and thinner over time, usually about 3 months the wax is basically all gone. So applying sealant will protect the wax which means the wax will stay longer on the paint.
