Did anyone see the article in the paper yesterday stating that the MN legislature passed a law that you will now need a doctor's note to get your windows tinted any more? Seems pretty extreme--anyone have any more details on that?
The new change in the MN state law states new car dealers, leasers, and used car sales cannot sell a car with window film that does not meet the statue 169.71. It is still legal to put 50% on. But be careful that the tint shop takes in consideration your factory glass. Darker factory glass plus 50% film will be too dark. Some shops have a lighter than 50% film to bring the percent closer to the legal limit.
The only other change in the law is the perscription, you must have light transmission percent and it will expire every two years.
