No problem. Just go slow when tightening the top nut and don't use an air impact...I'd say no more than 100ft lbs is all you need. Otherwise you risk over torquing and snapping the shaft which I have done on a Bilstein B4 strut. 5-6 threads is what will be visible when fully torqued.
