Please tell me how you can tell from looking at the outside of a switch housing that this switch won't operate Xenon headlights.
I go through each circuit board to make sure each one is capable of all functions. I use one of these in my "11 335i e93 with Xenon headlights.
If I have any question about the functionality of these headlight switches, I test them in my own car.
Just like a book, please don't judge things by their covers.
